The Company of Melancholy

Candle in the wind

When this light does flicker in my darkness
as flame against these icy winds in mind;
Here within will be that presence again
and again this night no sleep shall I find.

No sleep I find may hide these thoughts of mine;
my haunted soul roams amongst the withered.
Here the crimson echoes beckon gravely
for the company of melancholy.
